Do I need a body scan in my health screening package?
In general, the need for an ultrasound, X-ray, CT scan, or MRI depends on several factors including:
Age: Some age groups may have a higher risk of developing certain health diseases, and scans can be recommended as part of routine screening
Medical history: If you have a history of health diseases, your doctor may recommend scans to check certain organs or tissues
Symptoms: If you have symptoms, scans may be necessary to help diagnose the cause
Family history: In some cases, a family history of certain diseases or conditions benefit from scans
Follow-up or monitoring: If you have previously been diagnosed with a condition or have undergone treatment, scans may be necessary to monitor your progress or check for any recurrence
