Do I need a body scan in my health screening package?
In general, the need for an ultrasound, X-ray, CT scan, or MRI depends on several factors including:
Age: Some age groups may have a higher risk of developing certain health diseases, and scans can be recommended as part of routine screening
Medical history: If you have a history of health diseases, your doctor may recommend scans to check certain organs or tissues
Symptoms: If you have symptoms, scans may be necessary to help diagnose the cause
Family history: In some cases, a family history of certain diseases or conditions benefit from scans
Follow-up or monitoring: If you have previously been diagnosed with a condition or have undergone treatment, scans may be necessary to monitor your progress or check for any recurrence
How do I prepare for the blood and urine test?
Fasting for 9-12 hours before the test
Drink water only during the fasting period
If you are on medication, please ask the doctor for the medication use during the fasting period
If you have add-on items, our Care Manager will remind you if there are additional preparations needed
Bring a valid HKID/Passport/identification document on the day of the test
